Cotebrook Loch Carron
Description
Carron is one of the prettiest shires in the country. Although the head is not one of the points the judges are looking for, she has an outstandingly attractive head which she has inherited from Charlie, her father. Alistair is frequently heard saying that Carron is his 'favourite', probably because of the similarity to her father which he loved so much.
Most shires start their showing career as foals but Carron didn't enter the showring until she was 2 years old. She was very successful and qualified for the Horse of the Year Show at her first attempt. The following year, she managed twice to be reserve qualifier and then, in 2007, qualified again. Only 24 horses qualify each year and these are the 24
champions from the 24 largest shows in England and Wales.
Carron had her first foal, Cotebrook Beth, in January 2007. This foal went on to become the top foal in the country.
