Greatness is something very rarely achieved in horses or anything else living, but it surely is the only way of describing Edward.
He has produced more champions of the Shire breed than any other horse in recent history. The only two horses ever to achieve greatness in the last 60 years are Hillmore Enterprise and Cubly Charlie and they are both Edwards grandfathers.
Edward has been at stud in Denmark for the past two years but will probably remain at Cotebrook for the rest of his life.
Edward never won the National Championships in his show career but won reserve champion several times and won his class at the Nationals on many occasions.
Lets hope Edward has a happy and successful time at Cotebrook for the remainder of his life.
