Dora is full sister to Moorfield Ted, one of the three stallions at stud at Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre. Her mother, Moorfield Victoria, is full sister to Moorfield Charles, our much missed stallion.

Alistair heard of her imminent sale and did not hesitate in purchasing her in early September 2009. We understand that Dora has not been the most successful of breeding mares and this was reflected in her purchase price. Dora was mated February 2010 to King and the resulting foal is due January 2011.

Breeding horses is a lengthy process as mares are in foal for over 11 months and picking the right stallion to suit a mare is very hit and miss.

We need all the luck in the world to get the various aspects right but if it works out, with her excellent pedigree, Dora is a possible champion breeder! Fingers crossed!!...
