Description

Name: Cotebrook Beth
Sire: Drydwy Cotebrook
King
Dam: Cotebrook Loch
Carron
Sex: Filly
Breed: Shire
Born: 10-01-07

All our filly foals are named after lochs in Scotland and all our colt foals are named after mountains in Scotland. Beth is named after Alistair's mother, Elizabeth King, who sadly passed away 3 days after Beth was born.

Beth is the most successful young shire horse in the country today, being the national foal champion in 2007, the reserve national junior champion 2008. This last result was repeated in 2009 but went a step further being the reserve national female champion.

In 2009 she stood reserve champion to Cotebrook Loch Maree now owned by the Fountain family at the Cheshire show then several weeks later at the Nantwich show we reversed this result beating Maree the most successful show animal of this century. She won several other championships as a two year old and qualified for the horse of the year show.

Beth is now carrying her first foal to Ted and she is due in April 2011, just one month after her third national championship appearance in March she will be a big lady then!!!
